Here's the eastside bachelors Clyde and Sir Duke. I keep seeing them this year. They are spunky 2 yr old colts. Both left their bands at an early age. They have buddied up along with the older bay horse, Sundown.
Sundown seems to be in charge, but who knows? They mix and mingle with other eastside bachelors. At one time this spring they had Destiny, the little yearling medicine hat filly, but now she is with a more dominant stallion (Tag).

The next bachelors we see are Cowboy, Benson and Snow Man. Here's Cowboy giving you an idea how BIG it is out here...
Poor Snow Man is quite lame on his back right, but is near a water hole and his buddies. I am pretty sure he will get better. He got beat up by another stallion a little over a week ago.
I think this is the first photo where I get the two overo pintos, Cowboy and Benson, together. I, along with other folks, have always wondered if they are related. They sure look good together...don't you agree?
Tripod is still alone up on 7 mile. Hopefully he will find a friend soon. You can't help but feel for this underdog. He sustained a hock injury as a newborn which has left him disabled. It is a miracle he has survived 2 winters and basically looks ok. I would just like to see him with other horses. But that is not for me to decide. Maybe in future world we could set up a baiting system where we could pull mustangs like Tripod out and adopt them to people who can properly care for them. For now we will just observe..
Good to see Outlaw and Chrome still hanging out together...These are up and coming stallions. I can tell by the battle scars they carry. Look for them to have mares of their own some day. Chrome is the dun and Outlaw is the chestnut with the gorgeous flaxen mane and tail.
Here are some of the westside studs. Actually this group consists of 6, 2 yr old colts and 2 "older" stalions. The pintos are Hoot and Ranger. Ranger, on the right, is without Thunder, the bay he is usually seen with. Things change out here...There is no telling if Thunder is ok unless someone spots him or we find a body..
They were super posy. Hoot is a very curious youngster. He has got the wonderful hour glass blaze. We take pride in our pintos out here. They have a very typey Sand Wash "look".

This is Hawk from Chief's band. He has struck of on his own and has ended up in group.
Haze, Tango (Picasso's 2 yr old), Nick (Palomino) and Flash (Lightning's 2 yr old son). I have seen these horses mature and leave their bands.
