White Out

After much hiking and driving up and down the Hywy I spot the white stallion and his small family. He looks good. He has moved out of the valley where he spent most of the winter. The snow has really melted and the horses will have an easier time finding something to eat.
Here is the coming two year old...River. Mustang tough this guy...he is wintering just fine and I believe will shed out to be a handsome grulla this spring.
Look how pregnant the mare is! Her handsome yearling son is never far from her side.
I am glad to report the horses have fresh water and plenty of it...there was a huge melt down last week. It has been a long, hard winter, but things are looking up!
Strider has a happy little roll in the snow.
Napping in the breeze.
More napping...these horses really slow down in the winter.
He has developed a wind knot in his mane and so has his mare. We had a huge windstorm here...winds over 50 mph!
Josie is a good looking little mustang mare.
White Out leads his family away....standing between me and them. He is a good loyal stallion. I am pretty sure he is an older guy judging by his color.
