Josie gets casted

Myself and Josie's family, excluding River who was oblivious, were very worried for a little bit when Josie couldn't get up after a roll. This was not her first effort. I wonder if she is old, pregnant or both. I still love her with all my heart because she is so tough and has a rugged beauty. She is also a good mom to little River. I pray these horses get back where they belong. I informed the BLM they had crossed on to private land.

I enjoyed looking at your work, great job! Where are they located? i based a series of paintings on the Onaqui herd in UT. 200 of them were rounded up last Oct.

Karen, these horses live in NW Colorado. 200 of these were rounded up in the fall of 2008. I adopted a weanling colt who is the love of my life! I love to go out and look at his wild relatives, each and every one is special. The next round up is scheduled for 2012. I can't imagine why they want to get rid of these mustangs. The captured and released mares were all given PZP. I am so sorry for your herd too. For now I am enjoying visiting and documenting them even though I barely know how to use a computer or camera, I just do my best!
