Clean Up Days

This is a dream come true for me. People getting together and helping remove some of the old barbed wire from Sand Wash that killed Greasewood and I am sure many wild horses before him. This was a joint effort between The BLM and The SWB Wild Horse Club.

Bernie and Kathy are locals who believe the horses deserve to be preserved for generations to come.

Kathy McKinstry and Jerome Fox from The BLM worked hard to make this event a success. Katie, from the HSUS, also helped us out. This was a group effort.

Our first project site was a downed fence around a water hole  off of CR 48. It was amazing how fast we got this rolled up and on to the trailer. Dave and Kathy are local ranchers who were experts in wire removal.

The BLM supplied us with water and food and set up some shade for us.

Modern day mustangers. Job well done!

Wish I could've been there! There's nothing like a little hard work and sweat for something you believe in to be good for the soul.

Congratulations on the success of the first Clean UP Day in Sand Wash Basin. I am so proud of you and all the work you have put in, at the expense of your time and money. You are a blessing to these horses and to all of us who support you. Thank you so much for everything you do.
