Vegas Band

L to R Miracle (3 yr old filly/mare), Morgan (Miracle's 2011 colt), Little Bit (Vegas and Olga's 2012 filly), Casino (mare)  PJ , Olga's 2010 colt (Out of Picasso) , Olga (mature mare) and the band stallion, Vegas.

Vegas is big! One of the largest stallions on The Range! He has had mares come and go since the 2008 gather, but things seem to have settled for now and he has had the same horses for over a year now. They are a handsome bunch.

There is Little Bit... she has inherited her sires large bone. She was one of the first born this spring. A foal was born to the grey mare (Miracle) a couple of months later (Spirit), but she was one of the many foals that did not survive this year.

The little grey in the middle is Morgan, he is often overlooked next to his flashy "brother", PJ, but he is a nice colt. He loves to horse play with PJ. You can see how big Little Bit is standing next to him!

PJ (pinto) has turned into a stunning 2 year old colt and is shown with the mares Casino and Miracle. Casino joined Vegas last year. She did not bring along her daughter, Cachina, nor her 2010 colt, Jackpot, who has been seen running with the bachelors. Cachina (2009 filly) is MIA. She is a grey. It is easy to tell Casino apart from the other grey mares because of her "polka dots". She did not foal this year.
Miracle joined Vegas soon after she had Morgan, spring of 2011. I am almost sure she came from Cherokee's band, but can not confirm.

Copper MIA, WildWind, Vegas Has a Filly, Silverado's New Band

It was nice to finally see Silverado's band. A lot has changed here. He has gained Tashunka's 2 yr old roan filly Nahmana, but has lost his 2 yr old filly, Bird. Also missing is Aragon who was his satellite. He still has his one mare Celeste and her 2011 filly, Jolly.

I had heard Dolor was leading a big band around and today found out he has Copper's (The Dark Ones) band. I wonder what happened to Copper? 

I still can not figure out who this grey filly is with The Dark Ones.

The big old roan is Dolor. Here he is palling up with one of Copper's colts.,,,The 2 yr old..Flame.

The Black, Harlan, is dogging Dolor and his new band.

....and so is the magnificent pinto, Tag.

 Will these older stallions be able to handle this large harem?

It was nice to finally see WildWind (Big Red). His band has shrunk. Also the "thing" in his ear is almost gone. Last year the lump was so large it folded his ear over. He looks much better. I love this beautiful sorrel boy.

WildWind has kept his sorrel mare, WildThing. She looks very pregnant.

WildThing's 2 yr old colt, WildBoy.

WildThing's yearling filly, WildFlower. She is a cutie!

The other mare with WildWind is the muley 3 yr old out of Copper, Maggie.

I also saw Vegas for the first time this season.He has Casino, the white mare, back. Casino was with Vegas in 2010, but was with Mateo last year. She has a 2 yr old son , Jackpot and a 3 yr old filly, Cachina, who are not with her.

Vegas also has a beautiful new filly we call Little Bit. She is huge! Here she is with her half brother, PJ (Picasso Junior).
