Here is part of Frosty's band including his 2 new foals. Can you see them? There is a little brown one by the white mare. These horses were quite wary, I had to sneak to get these photos. The dun mare is especially skittish.

Here are the foals. The dun is bigger then the brown, who will most likely turn grey.

The white mare spots me and sends out a warning to the whole herd.
The horse on the right is the white mare's yearling. Sand Wash wild horse family unit.

This is another white mare in the band, she has a grey yearling.

She is a beauty. I cannot figure out who is alpha mare...maybe this one.

Bay beauty

The bay is big!

The little red roan colt.

This guy just kinda hangs out in the back. I believe he is an elder. he is not too worried about me.

This is such a nice band of mustangs. 14 horses strong, the biggest I have observed.

The white mare on the left is freaked out by people! look at her expression! Alarmed!

There she is again. I didn't hang out too long, they never relaxed.

The other band I saw this day was Twister's.

Twister has 2 mares. This is the white one with the yearling stud colt. She is pregnant.

I will call her Windy.
I wanted to show you Twister's mane, hence his name. He is drop dead gorgeous.

Here is the other mare. She is slate grey, she also looks pregnant.

Finding plenty to eat this spring day.
Twister, Sand Wash Basin band stallion and proud of it!
