Big Grey

On this day I have the honor to meet a new band stallion. He is a looker, a big grey with a lot of presence.
He has a lovely little family who check me out.
Look at the stallion's mustang build....that is the conformation of a primitive horse. The horses have evolved to live in this extreme place. Or, as I have said before, not evolved.
The little palomino, has made it through a winter. I can tell by her half ear. Most likely caused by frostbite. She is so tiny for a yearling. But she seems tough and has her wise family to look after her.
She is a beauty. Her mom looks after her and shows her how to survive on the range.
What a treat getting to know this nice band of mustengos, who call Sand Wash Basin their home.
