The Pinto Foal

One day I spot the bay stallion, Eagle with his small band. There is a new guy! He is a pinto colt.
There he is front and center with his lovely dam, Lark and the little bay filly yearling, Sparrow.
He has got a split face. So far I have observed only 2 pinto foals this year.
He is a sound, healthy little colt.
This is his band stallion. A very handsome bay.
Here is little Sparrow. She is a very small filly and looks a little sickly, but she has her family to watch over her.
I love the mare's silver mane. This is a very nice looking little band.
Again, this time with their stallion. I hadn't seen these horses since the spring. They are minus a young sorrel pinto stud.
Eagle has an usual white mark on his neck, maks it easy to tell him apart from other bays.
Love his bird marking on his neck.
I am thankful this band of wild horses let me view them, even though not for long. In true mustang fashion they ran off after briefly viewing me.

Eagle is gorgeous and I love the colt with the "split face". I don't think I've ever seen a facial marking like that :)
