Bird

I am very lucky today, I get a close up view of the shy little filly, Bird, and her elusive Sand Wash family.
Bird, as you can see, has a very prominent snip and she is as black as coal. She is getting her winter coat, which she will need for the upcoming winter. Tempatures are extreme on their home range of Sand Wash Basin, Colorado.
The band stallion, Silverado. I have no idea why he was being so tolerent of me. Normally he runs. The horses are like that. Different flight zones on different days. I feel honored he lets me document his family.
Family portrait. I find out the black with the star is a stud. Maybe a big yearling? He needs a name if any one has one. The sorrel mom has been named Celeste by a member of the group.
I love Bird!
Such a petite little filly, she, like so many other 2010 foals, she is the only baby in her band.
Therefore she plays with her big brother, or trys.
He is more into giving back rubs. These mustangs spend a lot of time grooming each other. Some bands are better at it then others...Silverado's band is good at it! All their coats are shiny and blooming.
Needs a name yawns. This is one content horse......On this day the two bachelor stallions, Aragon and Zeus were tagging Silverado.
