Brave's New Band

Brave has swapped around some mares. His grey mare, Vermillion and her 2 year old daughter, Spook, are missing. Instead he has Ellie and her 2 year old filly, Flirt, which used to belong to Bear. The dun, Ginger is still with him and has her yearling colt, Frisky, by her side. All horses look good, except for Ginger who is a bit thin, but I am sure she will rebound. I am kinda glad she is not pregnant this year. Here are Braves two mares...Ginger and Ellie. Ellie is a wiley, little hardy little mustang mare......she really wintered well! I observed Flirt, her filly, still nursing off her. This is the amazing big bay stallion we call Brave having a stallion huddle with Bugs (buckskin) and his tw0, 2 year old colts. Nothing becomes of it...The horses are mostly interested in eating right now. There's Ellie and her daughter Flirt. Flirt is a stand out with her silver mane and palomino/grey coloring. She is bigger then her mom! Flirt came out of the winter super strong and fresh...she and her dam look good! True mustangs these two. Another shot of Flirt with the blood bay stallion, Brave. Last summer Brave hung out near another bay stallion (Chief) and his band. He has finally broke away from his friend. You can tell Brave because he has a large hernia on his belly. Also his size and brawn, he is a looker for sure! He put up quite a fight during the round up of 2008. He is a Sand Wash legend. Well, finally Flirt is not an only filly any more..now she has her yearling "brother", Frisky. She sure seems to like to pick on the little fellow. There's Frisky.See is hernia? Rumour has it they almost pulled him out because of it, but for some reason he was chosen to stay...stay on his home range where he can run as a free stallion. He was lucky. And I feel lucky to have seen this fine looking American wild horse band.
