PJ (Picasso Junior)

Boy, was I excited when I spotted these three mustangs on a ridge. Right away I could tell the little bald face pinto was PJ, Picasso's colt, that was born to the bay mare, Olga, late last summer. We have all been wondering how he had managed the long, brutal winter of 2010. Picasso's band showed up earlier this spring without them.
They are wiley! PJ is very humpy, bucking as he gallops along. He looks great, real chunky and spirited.
They stop briefly...the wind was howling making Olga's mane and tail fly. She is a beaut. The HSUS told me she was a hard mare to try to dart with their PZP. I never found out if they did or not...
They are running with Vegas, the big handsome bay stallion with half of his left ear missing. I had seen Vegas running with the bachelors this spring, so I don't know who Olga and PJ wintered with. This might be a fleeting affair going by Vegas's track record. He seems to go through mares. He had two last summer, Lady and Casino, but they are with a new band. And before that the HSUS told me he had been a bachelor.
The only decent shot I got of PJ. This encounter was fun...the horses stayed on the ridge running. Sometimes I'd rather watch through my naked eye. Anyway I got this one shot. Proof that he looks nothing like a domestic horse. PJ is an American Mustang. A breed apart.
One more look at the trio...
