Corona's Band

What an honor to find Corona and his beautiful harem on this beautiful April day. As usual they are pretty tolerent of me and let me get a good look at them. One Spirit, the little bay filly, is especially friendly. Here is the glamour stallon. He always seems like he is posing. Like he knows he is the poster boy for the Sand Wash mustangs. His two year old filly not only wintered well, she looks great! I was impressed. I saw her nursing last fall. Her mom, Em, never had a foal last year. This filly was still nursing last fall. We call this young mare One Spirit. Here is Corona's black mare, Em, One Spirit's dam. I do not think she is pregnant. She looks great too. There is the rose grey with her filly, Yampatika. The other mare in this band, Lona, the chestnut did not look good. She was very pregnant and skinny. Plus she is missing her right eye. I hope she makes it through the birth of her foal. Lona would be a good candidate for PZP. She needs a break. She already has a yearling (Bobby) and her 2 year old filly (Maybell) by her side. The palomino pinto Cheyenne. This mare, like all of Corona's, is very loyal to her band stallion... I would say she is the lead mare. Here is cute little Bobby. He has inheritaed his sire's good looks down to the waves in his mane.
