She is the only youngster in this little family band.
I have seen her many times running around her home range, but have never been able to get close. Today is my lucky day!
The sorrel pinto is her mom, Feather. She is very leery of 2 leggeds. I am honored she finally let me have a look.
Streaker has these 4 white socks and a great big Sand Wash blaze.
This is her Band stallion, the bucksin. I just call him Buck.
She has a little splash of white on her side shaped like a bolt of lightning.
Both her and Feather are super fast. If Feather was a domestic she would make an awesome endurance horse. I have seen her trot across the desert. It is beauty in motion. Streaker is always right behind her.
She was a little fluff ball this winter. It was a joy watching her streak through the snow, right behind Feather. Buck has a hard time keeping up with these two.
Streaker's dam and assumed sire.
They are such a small family. Today they are hanging out with a few other bands, but the stallions kept her from playing. She kept looking at fellow yearling colt, Star, who is also an only foal. Long live Streaker!
