Super cute and healthy. He is a colt. I will call him Breeze.
Here is Breeze's stallion and yearling brother, Gust.
Gust kept trying to get Twister to play with him!
The other mare in the group looks like she might be pregnant. She is slate grey, I will call her Shady.
The little guy sure can run! He is stuck to his mom like glue.
My guess he is going to grey out.
He does everything his mom does...
Windy is a good dam and shines in the sun. She is a gorgeous wild mare.
He has got some legs on him!
This is Twister, the sorrel band stallion. I call him Twister because of his tangled mane.
Next I spot a new guy (to me). He is an amazing grulla. He has come to get a drink.
Isn't he a looker? I wonder how he ended up all alone?
There are quite a few horses of this color out at Sand Wash. They blend in so well with the sage they live amongst.
It was nice to see this new guy. He was striking the way he moved across the desert.
Yay! Finally I see my friends Corona and his beautiful harem. They all are doing great!
The light colored horse in front is Bobby, he has really grown!
Corona seemed to be favoring Cheyenne and Whisper on this day. Whisper is getting along fine, even though he is disabled with a rear hock injury or deformity.
The wind was blowing about 40 miles per hour and the sun was glaring...very difficult to take good pictures.
That is Lona, Bobby's dam, on the right. I guess I never realized she has four stockings. Lots of chrome on this mare!
Em and the filly, One Spirit. Mother and daughter. They have a very strong bond. It is nice to see.
There is little Bobby.
Corona making a funny face.
All of a sudden the horses take off in single file at a good clip....
Here is Indian Rose, the rose grey with her yearling. She still looks like she is pregnant.
The horses get a cool drink of water on this very hot day.
Then they are off! Back to where they came from.
Thanks Corona! What a fine looking family you have!
On my way out I see Benson. He is usually near the white stallion, Snow Man. It is always good to see these guys. They have been around the wild horse block a time or two!
