Colorado Proud

How nice to see Cowboy. He is sleek and robust. He is with Voodoo and Snow Man.
Here is Snow Man. I've noticed the horses do alot of yawning postures. He sees his buddy Benson in the distance and they join up.
Since I started observing this herd these guys have been friends. Benson is dominant.
The battered Snow Man, as usual, he is pretty beat up, but is sound and in good nick.
Benson looks good too, his nose, like a lot of the mustangs, is pink from the intense high desert sun.
They were sparring a bit on this day. Making a lot of noise and then running off. They look so graceful running across the sage flats.
Here is Voodoo, he is the horse in my profile picture. he is still near his pal. Cowboy.
Snow Man
Voodoo is a very classy looking mustang. I really like his conformation and silver mane and tail. He has a rich chestnut colored coat. He is one of my personal favorites. Head shot of Snow Man.
Here's Tonka who is still with fellow bachelor, Rudi.
Notice the pink on the nose. His mane and tail fall in cords. he is dominant over Rudi, the mellow chestnut.
Here is good ole Rudi. To me he looks like he could be related to Prince's twin mares.
These are the mares and yearlings that were with Bugs the last time I saw them.
Both of the mares look pregnant. They each have manes that have long strands hanging down, almost to the ground. The little palomino is a colt. I hear the thunder of hoofbeats....
A black stallion is hot on their trail.
I don't believe he ever saw me. He was intent on those mares. He stopped briefly then he was off, making a lot of sound.
He has one white sock, right front. I wonder what happened to Bugs, the buckskin stallion? This stallion has not claimed the mares, he was just chasing them down. The went over a ridge and all I could see was a cloud of dust...
